Itex appoints new Isle of Man Non-Exec
Isle of Man, 5th March, 2008 – Renowned businessman and former politician, Terry Groves, has been appointed to the Itex board in the Isle of Man as a Non-Executive Director it was announced today.
Itex is a world class IT services group, which supports the largest business user base in the Channel Islands and is launching a full service division of the company in the Isle of Man over the next two months.
Mr Groves, who was an MHK in the mid nineties and held the position as Minister for the Department of Local Government and the Environment from 1993 – 1996, is a non-executive Director of a number of high profile businesses in the Isle of Man including Royal Skandia, Cowley Groves and the Pickwicks retail chain recently acquired by Heron and Brearley. He also sat on the board of the IT company XKO Ltd – now 2e2 – for over 5 years.
Mr Groves is involved with a number of charities both in the Isle of Man and the UK - notably the Hospice shops company, Share The Care Ltd that he chairs and the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust of which he is a trustee.
Mr Groves said of his recent appointment;
