One of the Isle of Man’s most high-profile businesswomen has been appointed as Managing Director of Itex (Isle of Man) Ltd. Alyson Hamilton Lacey has moved to the offshore technology company following a distinguished career at Manx Telecom, where she held the position of Commercial Director.

Mrs Hamilton Lacey is well-placed to lead Itex, the largest UK offshore IT service provider, having held Director-level positions at three of the island’s leading IT and Telecoms companies and being renown for creating services that customers value in the Isle of Man.

Whilst in the role of Commercial Director, she worked on some of the company’s flagship Corporate projects including successfully moving the company into IP telephony and managed networks  by winning the Isle of Man Government’s ConnectMann contract and leading the company into the development of their state of the art data centre and off island Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network. Not only creating valuable services for Manx Telecom but also to the benefit of the Island.

She also has extensive experience in the Isle of Man’s thriving e-Commerce sector having worked closely with Government and e-Gaming Customers to build the island’s reputation, and to develop technical and commercial hosting capability to meet client demand.

Prior to this, she spent six years as Managing Director of the IT company XKO (IOM) Ltd (now 2e2) where she identified and led the acquisition of Xenon (IOM) Ltd and subsequent merger with CSL, and ultimately played a key part in achieving AIM and full LSE listing of XKO Group plc. 

Mrs Hamilton Lacey quadrupled the size of the company, and built a highly capable 70 man team that was able to design, build and deliver World-Class solutions winning business on and off-Island against global household names.
