Offshore businesses are looking to their IT Departments to improve resource utilisation, increase automation and flexibility, and reduce the time required to roll out new business applications. Itex has invested heavily in this area of technology. The HP BladeSystem Matrix (Matrix) installed within Itex enables companies to achieve this new, more efficient mode of IT service delivery. Matrix provides an integrated platform of server, storage, and network resources that can be pooled and allocated as the business demands. One of the core technologies is the Matrix Operating Environment (OE). With Matrix OE, companies can change the way applications are deployed in the Datacenter and move towards a service-driven, standardised application deployment model. Application services can be quickly provisioned and re-deployed as business demand requires, based on pre-built infrastructure orchestration templates that define the resource requirements of the service.
